The Challenge

The British Open came to Continuum Learn because its previous streaming provider, World of Brass, was not meeting its needs as a contest organiser.

The Solution

For its next contest, The British Open ran the broadcast on its own branded Continuum Learn platform: the live stream, ticket sales, replays and viewer reporting all under its control. Continuum's production partner, Red Shell Productions, filmed the contest.

The Results

• 5,733 viewer-hours across the live broadcast
• Viewers stayed for around 6.2 hours of the 9.5-hour broadcast on average
• Watched in 31 countries, with around 35% of viewing from outside the UK
• 986 more viewer-hours of replay viewing the day after the contest
